Travel & Volunteer Programs

One of the ways in which The Green Guerrillas spreads its message of sustainable urban agriculture and keeps running is through our travel & volunteer programs. This is an opportunity to learn about urban agriculture in a hands on way. We work with revolutionary sustainable practices such as waste stabilization, worm husbandry, biota brewing and maggot farming. We also run holiday farm education for the children in the nearby community. Join our team!

The Program:

Currently The Green Guerrillas host both local and international students and take them through a program that teaches them the ins and out of urban farming. If you become part of the program you can expect to take part in all the daily duties on the farm; feeding of animals, planting, harvesting, maintenance and all other tasks that arises on a working farm as well as heeling out with our youth educating programs.

Preferred skills:

You do not need any experience of agriculture, education or bio-dynamic farming as these are all areas of training you will pick up along the way. It is however beneficial if you do have some sort of background in agricultural practices. You must be a fast learner as we move forward at phenomenal rate. You must be physically fit as your working day will be 8-9 hours. We expect you to share our passion for urban agriculture and the environment as well as educating the youth and passing on of knowledge. Positive people that can work well in a team on a mission of making a change are welcome!
